Position Overview:
Each year CECP hires a summer intern named after one of our co-founders, John C. Whitehead. This summer, we are seeking a curious, proactive AI Solutions Intern to help us explore, pilot, and scale practical uses of artificial intelligence across our organization. This role is ideal for someone excited about applying AI tools in a real-world, resource-constrained nonprofit environment. You will work across teams to identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, enhance insights, and elevate the experience we deliver to our stakeholders.

You will work across teams to identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, enhance insights, and elevate the experience we deliver to our stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Research, test, and implement AI tools and solutions that enhance CECP's operations, member experience, marketing, and growth efforts.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automate workflows, and streamline processes across teams.
- Support the use of AI to enhance digital engagement, content strategy, audience reach, and organizational visibility.
- Analyze and synthesize data to generate insights that inform decision-making, member engagement, and business development activities.
- Assist in developing AI-powered tools, resources, and internal solutions that improve staff and stakeholder experiences.
- Create documentation, guides, and recommendations to support AI adoption and best practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot innovative AI initiatives and evaluate their impact and scalability.
This role is for you if you have/are:
- Current undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduate (preferred fields: business, data science, public policy, communications, or related)
- Strong foundational knowledge in computer science or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience building and configuring AI agents, specifically using Microsoft Copilot Studio and large language model (LLM) prompt engineering.
- A high degree of initiative, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Experience with MS Office and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)
- Interest in corporate purpose, social impact, or nonprofit work is a plus
Location:
This position is fully remote, but you must be a US Citizen currently living in the United States and throughout the duration of the internship.
Duration:
- This role will run from June 2026 through August 2026 ~(10 weeks)
- Up to 30 hours per week
Compensation:
- Hourly stipend of $30/hour
